The Acting state chairman of Imo State All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Chris Oguoma, has faulted the inauguration of Chief Hilary Eke.
Speaking to journalists recently, Hon. Oguoma stated that the purported swearing in of Chief Hilary Eke as the state chairman of APC Imo State is in total violation of a subsisting order of court made by a court of competent jurisdiction.
According to him, a Federal High Court in Owerri has waded into the matter between Chief Hilary Eke and the State Working Committee led by Hon. Oguoma, adding that the order should be respected until it is vacated.
Hon. Oguoma went further to state that Chief Eke has been suspended as the Chairman of APC Imo State on the 14th of May, 2018 by the State Working Committee of APC.
He posited that the reason for Chief Eke’s suspension was as a result of the press conference, where he lied that ward congresses were held across the state on 5th May, 2018 while there was no congress anywhere in Imo State.
Hon. Oguoma pointed out that the statement was contrary to earlier statement made by him and however, called on party members to ignore Chief Eke and his cohorts, while urging them to continue to be steadfast with the party activities at the state secretariat.
