Alvan Ikoku College Lecturer Bags Chieftaincy Title

A lecturer and Head of Department (HOD), Library and Information Science, Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, Imo State, has bagged a chieftaincy title.

Chief Magnus C. Unegbu, was recently conferred with the chieftaincy title Onye-Oruru of Mgbala-Agwa Autonomous Community, Oguta LGA., Imo State by HRH Eze (Sir) Blaise Ubah, Oluoha II of Mgbala-Agwa Autonomous Community, Imo State.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the coronation of HRH Eze (Sir) Blaise Ubah, at Mgbala Agwa, Chief Dr. Magnus Unegbu expressed his gratitude to God for such an honour.

While attributing the honour to commitment and resilience, the youngest chief of the community, urged the people of Agwa to take education very serious.

He further charged the youths to be committed in whatever they are doing, adding that richness is never meant for only those that went to the university.

Chief Onye-Oruru recalled that there are persons that have only Senior School Certificate, SSCE, that are extremely rich, hence the need for commitment and uprightness in anything that worth doing.
